Methods of distribution of indie music

Indie music is independent music artist recording a song or album on and independent record label. Either the music label with distribute the music or the independent artist will place their music on sites such as YouTube, iTunes, Spotify, Grooveshark, Soundcloud or even social networking sites and then an established record label may discover the artist or music and then give them a contract.  Independent artist also distribute their music on podcasts or even radio, other methods are word of mouth, printed publication, shops and television.

This is the Doctor Who magazine,in the past year the sales have gone up 17% in sales, the average sales are 31692 and 99% of those sales were paid full price. These sales have gone up because in 2013 was a big year for Doctor Who it had its 50th anniversary, and the new Doctor arrived in the Christmas special. People have gone out and bought this magazine as they would like the gossip for this incredible show that never stops to surprise everyone. This magazine appeals to many different categories of people and this is why the magazine is so popular there is a character for everyone to enjoy and as the Doctor changes it only adds to the following of Doctor Who.
